Are you feeling squeezed by the recession? Maybe you are home with a new baby, but want a creative outlet? Or just want some extra spending money.
Whatever the reason, I understand.
I'm a mom of seven who spent soooooo many years with only one vehicle (that the hubby took to work each day) wanting a way to express myself outside of motherhood but very little extra money to do it.
I spent 10 years blogging with limited success.
But there was TWO types of blogs that ALWAYS seem to get all the traction. (We'll talk about the these later).
1.Decorating
2. Teaching People How to Make Money
Fast-forward to late 2019...right before the pandemic. I was flown out to New Year for a very coveted job. Right before Thanksgiving, I got the call that I didn't get the job.
Ya'll...I haven't cried that hard since my highschool boyfriend broke up with me.
And that was the final nail in the coffin for my blogging days. I deleted everything. I became nothing online.
I'd been redoing my house and was in debt from a vacation and just started selling...everything.
I found stuff on the street and sold it of Facebook.
Now, as the owner of a 6-figure vintage furniture business (#1 on the list of things that did well online), I teach others how to stage and resell furniture (#2 on the list of things that did well online.)
Funny, huh?
It's taken me a lot of years to learn what sells and doesn't.
Here are some quick hot tips on what I've learned since 2019 that will help you get started reselling vintage furniture.
My 3 Fastest Sales
- Dressers
- Bookcases
- Sleeper Sofas
If I want to make money quickly, I will 100% opt for these three vintage furniture items to stage, photo and sell.
My 3 Favorite Photo Techniques
- Natural Light
- White Wall
- Stage with Greenery
Having photos that POP is essential to a good resell. I just use my iPhone.
My 3 Ways to Sell
- Facebook Marketplace
I always suggest collecting emails or at the very least asking your Facebook Marketplace buyers to follow you on IG, just in case one of your platforms gets banned or hacked. You want a secondary way to access your clients.
Learning How to Resell 101 Course
I spend a great deal of time elaborating on these three techniques in my reselling course "Level One: Getting Started Reselling."
It's only $7 and will make you MORE money than trying to do it on your own!
